At the Old Au Sable Fly Shop we pride ourselves on the outstanding guides that we have in our arsenal.
No matter what, where, or when you want to fish, we have the guide.
Our guarantee is to work hard to put you in the middle of the best action.
All of our guides share the same passion — to flat out be the best on the river. They strive to get their clients into the best possible fishing every day with the goal of seeing them getting out of the boat with a smile, some new memories, and maybe even a photo or two.
Our guides use the historic Au Sable River Boats on most river stretches, but we also use drift boats on some of our larger waters. They're experts on our waters offering the option of not only fishing the three main branches of the Au Sable system, but also the full length of the Manistee as well.
Simply put...they go where the fishing is best on any given day. That's their job. So, regardless of your skill level, if you want to match a hatch, swing some streamers, or learn a new technique let's get you in a boat. Remember we love to teach anglers to become better, we look forward to seeing you this season. All of our guides are independent contractors, licensed where required and fully insured.
