Nymphing with Gary Borger Part 1 Gary takes us on a journey how to fish nymphs and to look for patterns in the water, here he shows how to distinguish a mayfly, stone fly etc. Simple tactics can be taken to make screens so you can sample the water before you fish it. Part 2 Gary shows us how to tie flys to match the hatch from what you will collect from your netting of insects. Part 3 This clip shows the five approaches to fish nymphs in a stream. Gary shows several ways to fish scuds and pupa imitations for various water types making you a better nymphing angler. Part 4 Gary fishes using different styles of drift. By fishing the riffles using the shot gun effect and the brooks method will produce a lot of fish by fishing smarter. Part 5 Gary shows us how to fish with glare by making a indicator out of cork. A upstream cast with fast stripping helps the angler see the take. Fishing dead drift down stream with a nymph underneath water film is a very productive technique as Gary shows us by removing the split shop and indicator. Part 6 Gary fishes the Armstrong Spring Creek showing a parachute technique. Once the line is cast he lifts the rod to create slack, as the line drifts down lowering the rod to control the line. Here the slip strike is important fishing a 7X tippet Rainbow trout.
